The Shelby Jane Seyburn Foundation (SJSF) is hosting The 2020 Third Annual Shelby Jane Seyburn Golf Outing at Edgewood Country Club to be held September 14, 2020.
We invite you to join us as a sponsor for this event by choosing from one of our Sponsorship Opportunity Levels. The proceeds from this event will go towards the support of our Mission:
To fund a Healing Center that will support research and education of Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). To inspire and strengthen those who are suffering after a traumatic event by providing programs and resources that restore and empower the mind, body and spirit. Encourage survivors to pursue positive personal growth beyond their pre-trauma functioning with a renewed sense of possibilities for their life. The SJSF Healing Center will preserve a diverse and sustainable base of volunteer and financial support to ensure the Center’s services will always be available for those in need.
Our Vision is to create a healing center offering education, resources and programs for those who have gone through a traumatic event. We plan on developing PTG curriculum to educate the public as well as to incorporate ancient and traditional healing modalities, classes, workshops, speakers and resources. The SJSF Healing Center will be for those who have experienced a trauma in order to give them belief and tools for encouragement to gain a new appreciation for life. We want to give survivors HOPE through unique coping strategies.
An estimated 70% of adults in the United States have experienced a traumatic event at least once in their lives and up to 20% of these people go on to develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). But trauma can also be a powerful force for positive change. PTG can be transformative and as researchers know people have the capacity to do far more than just heal.
We appreciate your support and commitment to create an environment to foster compassion and promote healing for all those in need of HOPE.
